Sprouting Broccoli Gratin

sprouting broccoliThe hearts of my white and purple sprouting broccoli grew quite huge – like mini cauliflowers. So I thought to cooked them whole with a cheese and cream sauce.

I parboiled the broccoli, made a bechamel sauce, added some leftover cream and some grated Doddington cheese.

I poured it over the broccoli and then popped it in the oven for a while
